Graduate Profile Identification: The Animal Husbandry Study Programme, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University has been carried out in accordance with the KKNI-based curriculum guidelines to develop learning outcomes (LO). The graduate profile of the Animal Husbandry Study Programme is as follows:
Manajer/Administrator (MA)
The manager/administrator acts as a manager/administrator who is able to drive and manage livestock business activities administratively, institutionally and financially based on integrated management to ensure the achievement of results, production and marketing in terms of quantity, quality and time in accordance with the company's / livestock business plan by utilising resources optimally. The manager/administrator profile has the following duties, authorities and responsibilities:
- Able to plan and organise livestock business schedules for all types of livestock products, business scale, production targets produced and marketed,
- Able to organise the allocation of human resources, livestock production equipment and business types to achieve optimal production,
- Able to prepare livestock business reports on a scheduled basis,
- Have a sense of responsibility for the smooth process of business progress, livestock business production, marketing and business development from raw materials to the production process to the final product.
Research Assistant
Research assistants play a role in supporting and carrying out research based on scientific concepts related to animal science, management and technology using scientific principles, evaluation, and interpretation of research results to produce complete information. Research assistants are able to operate laboratory equipment, analyse samples, make research reports and assist in the publication of research results.
Animal Husbandry Extension
Animal Husbandry Extension Officers act as informants, assistants, motivators, in animal husbandry businesses in the community by mastering basic animal husbandry science, animal husbandry management and technology, as well as the application of appropriate animal husbandry innovations and technologies that can be adopted by the farming community. In addition, livestock extension workers are experts in mass communication
Entrepreneur
Entrepreneurs play a role in designing and planning livestock businesses, exploring potential and utilising market opportunities, running businesses and innovating in producing quality and profitable products in the livestock sector and being able to manage human resources and livestock resources in the livestock industry by utilising animal science, management and technology.
Community leader
Community leaders act as leaders and mobilisers of development in the community in animal husbandry or related fields.
Applicator and developer of knowledge
Knowledge implementers and developers act as actors who implement basic animal science and develop innovative animal technology in the community.
